A native of Colombia, Juanita moved to the United States at 12 years old. In 2020, Juanita obtained a bachelor’s in Family Sciences and Human development from the University of Connecticut. Juanita demonstrated a keen desire to acquire new knowledge through her academic studies to better herself. Many of the obstacles she faced as a first-generation immigrant motivated her in wanting to support others in need of support.

Juanita was previously a team leader for AmeriCorp and worked as a recruiter assisting some of the top companies in Connecticut. Juanita has strived to nurture effective service in every aspect of her role at the Law Offices of James A. Welcome. She is especially passionate about helping the immigrant population and making a difference for our clients.
