Legal AssistantAlexa Argueta is a driven and ambitious individual originally from Putnam County, New York, and proudly representing her Guatemalan heritage. Alexa's journey in law and public service is marked by her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on society. Alexa's passion for politics and law was evident from an early age, leading her to serve as an intern for US Senator Charles E. Schumer. During this valuable experience, she gained valuable insights into the inner workings of government and policy-making. Her thirst for knowledge brought her to the University at Albany, SUNY, where she pursued a double major in Criminal Justice and Political Science. Throughout her academic journey, Alexa actively contributed to her university's community as a stenographer for the Student Association's Judicial Branch, ensuring that justice and fairness were upheld in campus affairs. Immersing herself in the legal realm, Alexa became deeply involved in the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, where she fostered a supportive network and developed connections within the legal community. This involvement further fueled her dream of becoming a lawyer and making a difference in the world. Recognized for her outstanding debating skills and dedication to public discourse, Alexa was honored as a PRYLI Recipient. Eager to build a strong foundation for her future career, Alexa is currently taking a gap year to gain practical experience and expertise in the legal field. During this time, she remains steadfast in her pursuit of excellence, aiming to return to her studies with enhanced skills and knowledge.
